Recommended badminton racket for intermediate players under ₹3000?
I've been playing badminton regularly for about 2 years now, mostly doubles. I use a Yonex Nanoray Light 18i which I got for ₹1200 when I started. My game has improved a lot and I feel the racket is limiting me now – smashes feel weak and clears don't reach the back. I want to upgrade to something under ₹3000. I play an aggressive game with lots of smashes. Head-heavy rackets appeal to me but I'm open to suggestions. Which racket and string tension would you recommend for someone at intermediate level?
How to find regular badminton partners in Hyderabad?
I moved to Hyderabad (Gachibowli area) for work 3 months ago and I'm struggling to find regular badminton partners. I play at intermediate level and want to play at least 3 times a week. I've tried a few courts near my apartment but the people there are either too advanced (they don't want to play with me) or absolute beginners. How do you find partners at a similar skill level in a new city? Any Hyderabad-specific tips would be great.
How to beat opponents who play slow and defensive badminton?
I play fast and aggressive badminton but I keep losing to this one guy at my local court in Chandigarh who plays super slow – lots of high clears, net drops, and he never smashes. He just returns everything and waits for me to make errors. It's so frustrating! My game is all about smashes and fast drives. How do I adjust my strategy to beat this type of defensive player? I feel like my aggressive style should be winning but it's not.
