This crucial study aims to assess whether hosting the Olympic Games in 15 years' time is a realistic and beneficial pursuit for the nation. The question remains: is this a vision truly worth pursuing?

The most significant hurdle for any Olympic host city or nation is the astronomical Olympic Games hosting costs. Modern sporting spectacles are increasingly extravagant, often leading to economic instability. For example, Montreal took nearly 30 years to repay its debts from the 1976 Olympics. Perhaps direct investment in grassroots sports investment and accessible sporting infrastructure would yield more socio-economic benefits than relying solely on the Olympic halo effect.

The Ministry's feasibility study for Olympic bid is paramount.
